Your appointment will likely begin at 11am,
as this is my standard time for day sessions,
unless we have discussed otherwise.

We have a car park directly outside the shop, and you will be able to see your vehicle from the studio windows. Please note that this has a small charge and is camera operated. For 12 hours in the car park, it is £6 and payable via a coin machine or an app.
If you have any trouble with the car park, come inside the studio and we can pay via our apps as it can be tricky sometimes - just be wary that fines are automatically issued after 10 minutes and are separate from us and our studio.
Both Blackburn’s main bus and train station are a 3 minute walk from the studio.
- A valid form of ID
- The remaining sum of your tattoo, in an envelope or slip of paper for cash. Please note we do not have a card reader!
- Snacks and anything to keep yourself comfortable. Make sure to bring something sugary to keep you going
- Headphones, a book, or anything else you may want to entertain yourself
- A friend if you like, but we do limit one guest per person (no under 18’s)
- Appropriate clothing for the area being tattooed to change into
- Your usual aftercare creams or butters
- Yourself, with a full stomach and in a good mood
As far as the actual design process goes, I usually design in order so it wouldn’t be ready to go until the day of your appointment. However, before then you’re more than welcome to send me anything you come across that you’d like to include and it would all go into a sort of mood board for when I come to making the design! If you wanted me to go mostly or entirely free reign that’s not necessary, whatever suits you!
I know its daunting agreeing to a tattoo that you won't see until the day, but please rest assured you will have unlimited contact with me to discuss ideas before then, and I only take one client a day, which means we can spend as lon as necessary altering the design together, in person, on the day. Its just something I'd rather do in person when we can discuss properly.
Generally, I use a second skin film, which I will provide at the end of the appointment. I will also make sure you receive a PDF of everything you need to know.
If you don't do well with second skin, I recommend Butterluxe balm for healing.
If you’re travelling a distance and need a hotel, the best options are either:
The Premier Inn
You might want to consider this option if you’re travelling on foot to the studio or via public transport. The hotel is located directly outside the train station in Blackburn so is also a 3 minute walk, and has a 24 hour check in desk. They have limited car parking space, but reasonable pricing

The Hampton by Hilton
This option is a little more out of town, around a 5 minute drive, but it is quiet and secure with minimal passing foot traffic. Also reasonably priced and potentially better for those travelling by car as there is more parking space
